Beavers Take on Landmark Adventure Park
Beavers Take on Landmark Adventure Park
On Saturday 3 October 2026, 12 of our Beavers headed to Landmark Adventure Park for a day full of adventure, discovery and new challenges.
We arrived at 10am, dropped off our bags and got stuck straight into the activities. We started at Ropeworx, testing our climbing and balancing skills before taking on Landmark's water slides. The Falcon, Otter and Wildcat were all given a go, with plenty of brave Beavers taking on the challenge. Some of our leaders joined in too!
We also had a go at the laser shooting gallery. With 12 of us taking part, we managed to hit the targets around five times between us, so there is perhaps a little more practice needed!
After exploring Ant City, we headed to the Pinnacle to brush up on our climbing skills. Some of our taller Beavers and leaders also took on the Sky Dive, giving everyone something to watch and cheer on.
After a packed lunch, we headed into the treetops to explore Networx, a suspended rope and bouncy course high above the ground. We then climbed the Fire Tower and used the binoculars at the top. The weather was lovely and clear, although our binocular skills might need a little more practice. We saw plenty of trees and clouds, but not much else!
Our adventure continued with a visit to Dinosaur Kingdom, where we got to dig for fossils, before heading into the Butterfly House. We learned lots of interesting facts about the butterflies, caterpillars and fish living there and discovered more about the creatures that call the Butterfly House home.
In the afternoon, we split into two groups. One group explored the Bamboozeleum while the other headed along the Treetop Trail, before swapping over.
We finished the day with a small snack and one final opportunity to tackle the water slides and ropes before heading home.
It was a fantastic day from start to finish. Our Beavers tried new things, challenged themselves and supported each other throughout the day. There were plenty of smiles, laughs and new experiences to take home with them.
Thank you to our volunteers
Days like this are only possible thanks to our volunteers. A huge thank you to all the leaders and members of our Group Support Team who gave their time to help make the day happen.
Our Group Support Team helps us run activities, trips and events throughout the year, and there are lots of ways to get involved without becoming a section leader.
